Do you want to know Jesus? Maybe you’ve heard about Him or heard of Him,

but you don’t really know Him. Maybe you’re curious about knowing Him, or

need to get re-acquainted with Him. If so, please read on…

Our Savior

This is how God showed His love among us: He sent his one and only Son

into the world that we might live through Him. (1John 4:9)

Jesus lived, was crucified, and died on the cross for our sins.(1 John 1:9,10)

On the third day He rose up and became our living Savior.

Through Him, we all have been reconciled  with God and

He offers us the true Gift of Life. (Luke 24:46,47)

Jesus laid down His life for you and me. (1 John 3:16)

No one took His life, but He gave it on His own because He loved us

so much, so that we may live forever in Him and with Him (John 10:18).

Jesus is the Son of the Living God, He is the radiance of God’s glory

and exact representation of God’s being (Heb 1:3).

He is the only Way to God our Father(John 14:6)

It’s important to recognize, a gift must be accepted!

The Gift can be offered, but if we do not accept it, it’s never ours to receive and enjoy...

We must believe, by God’s grace, what God did, confess it, and ask for forgiveness

of our transgressions and turn away from the ways of the world.

Ask God to let His Spirit help you do this! When Christ ascended to heaven,

He sent us His Spirit (John 15:13) to guide, teach, comfort, and help us to draw

us near to our Father, therefore drawing God the Father near to us (James 4:8)

The Lord wants a relationship with YOU!

I’m not speaking of a religion; I am speaking of a relationship.

Head knowledge of our Lord Jesus is well and good, but it’s not until

we let His Holy Spirit move that knowledge into our hearts that we experience

the true and glorious manifestation of Jesus in our lives.

He must be in our hearts, not just our heads! When He is in our hearts,

is when He can transform our lives, and then we can experience the true and

glorious, perfect and good will He has planned for us.(Rom 12:2)

God has wonderful beautiful plans (Is 29:11-13) for all His children.

By asking Jesus into our heart, we accept His will for our lives.

Jesus says (John 14:23)  if we love Him,

we will obey His Word, if we abide in Him, he will abide

in us and make our joy complete through Him(John 15:11)

I don’t know about you, but I sure can get used to complete joy!

Not always a joy of meaning things are perfect, but a joy knowing that God

is sovereign. Being in the hands of a loving, merciful, gracious God

can bring us much joy and comfort in a world that brings much

tribulation.(Mt 6:34, 1Pet 2:20, 4:19, Rom 8:17)

So what does abide mean?  To live for and in Christ, to let Him live in and

through you! To do this is to follow His ways, love him

to honor Him with thought, word and deed. To love one another.

To spend time with Him! Study His word, pray and  meditate on Him,

listen to Him. But in order to listen to Him, we must spend time with Him!

By doing these things, His Holy Spirit will begin to transform us in

to the beautiful, holy, being God made us to be.

We are a new creation in Christ. (2 Cor 5:17)

He will harvest in you the fruit of His Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22).

By letting the Lord do this in us, we trust Him, we hope in Him and we

will not be let down. God is faithful!(Deut 7:9, 1 John 1:9) God is so awesome,

that He wants to give us eternal life in Him, but He also

wants us to live a blessed life with Him here on earth! ( Deut 28)

He came so that we may have life and have life abundantly (John 10:10).

I ask you not to let God be “something” that seems far from you.

Please do not think you were ever supposed to go through this life on your own.

He desires to be with you and in you so as to work through you. Give Him all your

burdens, hurts and pains (Psalm 55:22) Follow Him:(Matthew 11:28-30) If we follow

Him, Love Him, and love one another, He will give you all the goodness that He is:

Love, Joy, Hope, Peace, and so much more(Gal 5:22-25):

Seek Him! Seek His Truth!

Believe  Him

Trust Him

Love Him

He Loves you so much that

He gave His One and only Son,

that if you believe in Him,

you will have everlasting life.

(John 3:16)

If you’ve never accepted Jesus in your life but want to now, earnestly say:

God, please help me! Come into my heart. I believe you. I believe that

you sent your Holy and Perfect Son to this earth to bear the just

punishment for my sin. I believe He died on the cross. I believe you

raised Him from the dead, and He lives! I want Him to live in me! Forgive me of

my sin. Help me to live as Jesus did. Help me to turn from sinful thought,

word and deed. Set me apart from the world. Have mercy upon me.

Make me Your own. I make You Lord of my life.

I need You, I love You, and I thank You.

You have just made the most important decision in you life!

It’s giving your life back to the Wonderful Creator who gave it you to begin with!

Being saved is a process, (Phil 2:12)and you have just made the first step!

Now begin each day by spending time with Him.

Ask God to open your eyes and heart to His Truth.

Devote time to His Word, and tell someone!

It is also important to fellowship with like-minded people,

People who are not only believers(there are many),

but are followers (there are few) of our Lord Jesus Christ! (Mt 22:14)

God loves you and I love you!

Ask the Lord to open your heart, eyes and ears to understand His Word.
